My name is Seema and I’m the founder and CEO of The Found Word, a consulting firm that develops high-impact marketing content for law firms.

I love what I do! I write content for boutique, midsize and AmLaw 100 firms. Lawyers and legal marketers praise my work, with an AmLaw 20 partner stating, “If you want innovative content that will give you an edge in the market, call Seema. In my 30 years of practice, she is the best I’ve worked with.”

I spent two decades working in-house at large and small firms. I understand the challenges of developing impactful content in matrixed environments and under resource constraints – and I know how to deliver results.

Most recently, I spent a decade at Cooley, one of the largest law firms in the world, where I was the head of marketing and business development for the global IP practices and industries. I have a BBA in marketing and an MBA in business strategy.

Where I grew up
Queens, a borough of New York City and the most diverse place in the world.

Who inspires me
My parents. They came to the US from India and worked days, nights and weekends to achieve the American dream.

My superpower
Connecting with people from all walks of life. I grew up poor, living below the poverty line for many years. As a young adult, I achieved financial success. I’m grateful to have the rare gift of seeing life from both perspectives.

In my free time
As native New Yorkers, my husband and I spend an unhealthy amount of time researching the best pizza and bagels in our new hometown of Charlotte, NC. I am also a regular customer at my daughter’s beauty salon, conveniently located in the playroom. She treats me to a VIP makeover after a hard week of work (photo below).
